I'm up in arms over Kingory

Kingory is a wonderful real time strategy based browser game ( Yes no pain in the ass downloads ) that comes
from  ejoygame.com, a fairly new gaming company to me. To give my friends and others a slight Idea of it, I will compare it to Evony ( though the comparison is like apples and Oranges ).
With Kingory you actually are able to gain in levels ( for more towns) much easier than in evony.  Though it is somewhat  similar in design. But as to evony where you have a better chance of finding medals up the Dogs butt, than getting them from that 476th Forrest you just farmed . In Kingory  You conquer the area, then actual farm it(Gather). Yes people you must work for those quest items, but instead of it taking me 16 days to get a damn medal it took me 2 days for what I needed and got lots more gathering.
The  Other thing I truly like is the Arena . This is like a game within the game. You have like 12 bases with enemy troops at each one. And you must kill three Generals to win within a certain time. There are also others in the bases that are quests..but hurry time is running out.
So Check it out  http://www.kingory.eu/  and to my Friends who are on facebook. check out there FB Page

Senate approves health care reform bill.............yea sure

What they passed was a slight improvement, but unfortunately not what should have been passed. I wouldn't say complete crap, as it does protect people slightly better, but it does not protect people's right to health care completely the way it should have, and therefore it is more of a "sellout". Lieberman screwed it up for everyone. They had this one chance to start on the path to universal health care and blew it. Capitalism has no business controlling health care, as it does not protect peoples rights. All countries need socialized medicine..universal health care that protects peoples rights. I laugh when I hear some people say we have a 'right' to own a gun, but no one should have a 'right' to health care.

They won't get another chance to have universal health care for a long time. To have the president, senate and house all dem. majority, and it came down to 1 or 2 people in the senate that screwed it up...very unfortunate. The majority of people wanted it, but they will not get it now possibly in their lifetime. Republicans will never bring this or any kind of change that makes the US a better country in the world, ...they are kinda like Scrooge..pure capitalist mentality, equally as dangerous as a pure socialists or pure communists mentality. They can't seem to get the right balance between socialism and capitalism that is right for the country. They'd have the fire department and police all under capitalism, if they had their way, whereby everyone would need insurance or have to pay out of pocket to stop their houses from being burglarized or burned to the ground.

Now dont get me wrong, Democrats are no better in my eyes. If Republicans come up with a good idea the Democrats are all into stuffing it in a hole, putting it on a back burner somewhere or creating a  "Think tank" (that will cost millions)  just to either stop it outright or spin it into there plan.....same thing Republicans seem to do.

sorry started to rant again...back to health care.  Why cant we just create a Universal healthcare system in the U.S. ?  It seems to work quite well in many other Countrys, yes  there are problems with it in certain area's.  But dear God nothing like we have now. We pay more for medication than any other Country ( example Lipitor (40 mg/90 tablets) costs $361.99 U.S. price.  Canada  215.46  India $120.94 ) brand-name medications can be 25% to 50% less expensive in some foreign countries. Our own Lawmakers help create this kind of  Problem "Senators who weakened drug bill got millions from industry"   Universal health care is implemented in all industrialized countries, with the exception of the United States  The I.O.M. (Institute of  Medicine) put out a report "Insuring Americas Health Principles and Recommendations" Granted this  report is 6 years old,  nothing has changed in the time frame and that alone should tell you something.

Tomorrow or the Next day I will get on the reasons why in the system we are in that if we do ever get Universal Health care it still wont work the way it should...

My Point has been pondered and my  Bitchen is done for the day.

Cure for Downs syndrome ? and would you ?

Recently  Stanford  put out a article about they were on there way to a cure for many Neurological and genome diseases (including Downs syndrome)  so I was going through some blogs about what other people were thinking on this. and it truly amazed me on some of there answers about it. Some just said that no matter what you should try and cure these children. Others said "No way  it would change who they were" and some said that they should just be aborted ( boy did I send her a nasty email)

You see I have a wonderful daughter who has Downs syndrome and it is a touchy subject for me. Would I know matter what try and cure her ?  Or would I just let her go on the way she is now? she has no medical issues and only thing she truly has problems with is speech. But what I have also read  about is that she could become further and further behind in speech and developmental skills. hmmmm   well Here is what I wrote in the New York times blog of  Motherlode

Should Down Syndrome Be Cured?

If there were a cure for your child that would fundamentally change who they are, would you welcome it?

To give a Child medication to help them live a better and Productive life is a wonderful thing... IF you know it helps. My 2nd to oldest daughter was originally diagnosed with adhd and bipolar. The doctors put her on tons of medications and the poor child walked around like a zombie (These were the TOP specialists in Columbus ohio ). we were frantic about this and I talked to my own doctor about it one day, he asked me to just bring her in and he would have a look at her. After his examination told us to put her on a sugar free diet, drop all the medications but two and cut one in half of the dosage they originally prescribed. Within day's she became more and more like herself but without the destructive ways she had before. What I'm trying to get to is this. I would NEVER put my child on a drug that might help her out.

Yes I do have a child with downs syndrome, and we were just told of a drug that might be able to help her with some of her learning abilities (One of the same drugs my 2nd oldest daughter was given...) When asked how this drug worked to do that, they told us "well were not sure how it works, it just does" Pretty much same thing they told us before.
So tell ya what, when there done testing it on the lab rats, and have found the Parents to use it on there children and figure out "How it works" Then I will sit down with my Family and will talk about it. Till then we will send her to her school were she is loved by all her classmates and also all those "normal" children, and if we have to take care of her for the rest of our lifes I will be more than happy to.

Dont get me wrong, I would love to see my daughter live a long and productive life.... but who is it to say she is not going to do that as she is now ? I see children in the news die all the time from rare things that they had no idea there child had. And as for productive well she is 7 years old right now, she loves helping with dishes, she likes to dust and sweep (vacuum still freaks her out..but I think she just like to run through the house squealing ) She helps me in the yard, and Most of all she makes everyone around her laugh and smile. How much more productive can you get ?

There was so much more I wanted to say, but couldnt really figure out the words at the time that were in my heart . I love my daughter the way she is, but I would also love her if she were Paraplegic, quadriplegic had Münchhausen's disease or any of a thousand other disorders.  So would I change the way she is now for a better chance at life for her if we KNEW it worked.......................I just dont know.   I would love to say "YES!!"  but would it change her happy attitude, her amazement  at such little things that others have grown out of.. her way of growling at me (drrrrrrdddy !!! she's doing that right now ) when she wants my attention ?

There is nothing "slow" about my Payton, she is quick as a whip,  and yet there is something wrong. She doesnt speak well ( we understand her but others dont always) she doesn't seem to want to potty train ( she knows how to but chooses not to ).   And she has the Downs Syndrome facial look we dont see it alot in her, but it's there.

So  Would I  give her the "cure" if one was such available ?

ask me when it's here

How About dem Vikings

Well I watched a awesome game Yesterday. My Vikings kicked ass on Dallas ( which was truly great since I think Dallas blows anyway ).  When this year first started I thought " Damn Brett ?...boy we might be in trouble".  But I just keep getting more and more respect for that man. I always thought he was a great ballplayer and you could tell he loved the game and it still hasnt changed for him. He reminds me of a kid at a candy store when he's on target with those rockets. Even when he isnt on, he doesnt make excuses or complain. He truly loves my Favorite sport.  Grats to you Vikings
